Wins 2 Gold Medals for 2nd Time at
Canada-Wide
Science Fair
Congratulations to Megan Schlorff who
once again captured 2 Gold Medals at the
2009 Canada-Wide Science Fair! Megan won
a gold medal in the Intermediate Earth and
Environmental Earth and Sciences Division
and $1500 in cash and a $2000
Scholarship from the University of Western
Ontario. She also won a gold medal in the Intermediate
Environment Innovation category. With this gold medal she
received $1500 cash and a $10000 Scholarship to any
university of her choice in Canada. Well done Megan! The science fair was held in Winnipeg.
Megan Will Represent Canada in France
Megan was also chosen to represent Canada at the European Union Contest for Young Scientists. She will travel to Paris, France, to represent Canada during the competition to be held Sept. 11-16, 2009. She's the country's only representative at the week long event.
This is only the second time that a student from Canada has represented the country at the European
competition.

Congratulations to Megan Schlorff, grade 9 student
at Sacred Heart High School, who won a gold medal at the Bluewater
Science Fair Competition on April 2, 2008! She also received the
2008 Sci-Tech Ontario Stepping Stone Award for her outstanding
work. Megan will be advancing to the Canada-Wide competition in
